Volunteer: Drop In - 1521 SedgwickThank you for your interest in the Drop-In program! At the end of 2025 LPCS set out to continue to Drop-In program despite having our funding from the city cut. The Drop-In program is looking to expand our team of dedicated volunteers to this program. This program runs weekdays from 1-4 PM. at our 1521 N Sedgwick location. Volunteers are expected to provide, prepare, and serve a meal for 25-35 individuals. You may also be asked by the Drop-In Coordinator to assist with other tasks, such as sorting mail and timing showers. Please plan to arrive no later than 12:30 PM. NOTE – for first time shadowing, you do not need to plan on making the lunch. If interested, for your first shift you will be paired with an experienced Drop-In volunteer. You will only need to observe what they are doing and ask any questions to make your next experience smoother. This will also allow you to determine if this position is a right fit for you and your capacity. After a shadowing experience and evaluation, you will be able to sign up for a shift on your own. Please note for this position you will be on your feet for up to 3 hours and will be interacting directly with individuals seeking our services.
